1 3/4 CUPS OF ALL -PURPOSE FLOUR

1 TEASPOON OF BAKING POWDER

1/2 TEASPOON OF SALT

2 STICKS UNSALTED BUTTER

2 TEASPOONS OF TIA MARIA LIQUIR OR COFFEE

4 LARGE EGGS

2 CUPS SUPERFINE SUGAR

2 TEASPOONS OF PURE VANILLA EXTRACT

1 CUP OF CHOPPED WALNUTS (OPTIONAL)

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES. COAT PAN WITH OIL OR BUTTER. SET ASIDE

SET UP A DOUBLE BOLIER PAN. IN TOP PART OF DOUBLE BOILER ON MEDUIM HEAT, ADD IN CHOCOLATE, BUTTER, TIA MARIA AND STIR TILL MELTED COMPLETLY. SET ASIDE ONCE ALL IS MELTED.

SIFT FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT AND SET ASIDE.

IN A LARGE BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER EGGS, SUGAR, AND VANILLA UNTIL COMPLETELY MIXED. SLOWLY FOLD IN CHOCOLATE MIXTURE TILL WELL BLENDED.ADD IN FLOUR MIXTURE TO BOWL AND MIX THOUROGHLY.

PLACE MIXTURE IN GREASED PAN, TOP WITH WALNUTS AND BAKE FOR 40-45 MINUTES. COOL AND CUT.
